With a master’s in Children’s and Family Ministry and experience on a national child safety task force, she’s worked with lawyers, counselors, and survivors to develop prevention strategies and a curriculum now used by churches nationwide. Combining professional expertise and real-life parenting, Kris will share practical, research-based tips to help parents protect their children and respond confidently to potential threats.
Marcy Disbennett is the Director of Mental Wellness at the Epoch Dream Center in Hebron, Maryland. She also meets one-on-one with program participants who require additional care and attention. Marcy’s passion is to teach kids the importance of social-emotional learning and help give language to the range of emotions they experience. Following the birth of her second child, Marcy decided to retire from respiratory therapy and become a stay-at-home mom. She believes that the culmination of these things have equipped her for the work that she is currently doing.
