Brian worked in the large systems computer industry for 18 years before transitioning to full-time ministry.

"Being able to serve the Lord at Oak Ridge in partnership with the passionate and talented leaders we have here is one of the greatest privileges of my life! Is God awesome or what!?"

Tim Hastings

Executive Pastor

Tim is an Eastern Shore native who was born and raised in Sharptown, MD. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Liza and they have two children, Alyssa and Caleb.

Out of high-school, Tim worked 16 years in the manufacturing industry with a variety of job responsibilities and levels. God called him into full-time ministry at Oak Ridge in 2006 as the Assimilation Pastor. In 2010, Tim transitioned into the Executive Pastor position to further fulfill his role in serving our church family.
“I look forward to continuing to see the D.R.E.A.M. unfold here at Oak Ridge. It is AMAZING to see how folks are loved and accepted by our church family when they walk through our doors.”

Mark Reynolds

Executive Pastor of Business Operations

Mark grew up on the Eastern Shore. He graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in accounting and went on to pass the CPA exam.

Mark and his wife Heather are blessed with three children, Ashley, Sarah, and Noah. Mark is responsible for the oversight of the financial, business, and facilities aspects of the church.

“God has blessed me with an incredible opportunity to combine my love for him with my accounting and business experience. I love serving him in this capacity!”

Gary McCabe

Pastor of Family Ministries & Mobilization

Gary and his family came to Oak Ridge Baptist Church in 2009. An Eastern Shore native, Gary graduated from Stephen Decatur High School, earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Carson Newman, spent a summer studying Ethnomusicology under SIL/Wycliffe missionaries and is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He lived for two years as a Journeyman Church Planter/Catalyst of Indigenous Music through the International Mission Board in Benin, West Africa.

"I get to help people understand the joy that comes from making themselves completely available to God (Jeremiah 29:13), and experience the excitement of stepping out in faith, some for the very first time! I can't believe they actually pay me to do this!"

Tim Dennis

Global Tech Pastor

God has taken Tim on a journey to figure out his calling. He entered the U.S. Navy right out of high school and later went on to work in various fields. Meanwhile, Tim felt God calling him to go into full time ministry.

Tim and his family began attending Oak Ridge in 2007. He began volunteering on the audio team and was soon asked to lead the tech team. He came on staff at Oak Ridge as the Facility Manager in 2011 but was gradually given technical responsibilities to oversee until he eventually transitioned into his role as the Global Tech Pastor.

Now in a role that matches his wiring, Tim has discovered his calling: to serve God by using technology to break down barriers for people so they can grow in their faith.

“I love showing people who don’t have technical backgrounds that they can excel in this ministry if they have a passion for it and a desire to learn.”
